“Colchian tetri” is a name of a coin group. Initially, the name “Colchian tetri” was attributed to the II type hemidrachms  They are abundantly represented in West Georgia and are without doubt of the Colchian origin.

 

Obverse: Archaic female head to right/left within the linear circle or in border of the dots

Reverse: Bull’s head to right within the linear circle. Some of the coins are with the Greek letters – ΜΟ/ΣΟ, Φ, Α, Ο, Ε, Π, Δ.
